Introducing IkoroAro

Ikoro in Igbo land is an instrument of a very high importance. As a sign of pride, an urgent call to heed should it ever sound, a tourist center and heritage artifact, but that was in the olden days. IkoroAro happened to be the first platform to be reinventing the Ikoro in a modern day high-tech life style.
Firstly conceived in 2019 as a news application with with correspondence reporting on current events and happenings in Aro and Aros in diaspora. Well shortly after the first version of the app, the development vision quickly shifted to a more broad range of activities happening all at same time that will give you and your friends the smart ways to experience Arochukwu home coming planning, house warming, marriage ceremonies, burial ceremonies, meetings and inaugurations, festivals, hospitality services, news updates, security awareness updates, shopping and lots more. This is why IkoroAro has become a "tourism hub", more than just a platform, is a way to experience Arochukwu and its people the 21st century way and lifestyle.This version of the app comes with fewer features as some of the above listed features are still at the development stages. Apart from the news feed, we now have an:-Inbox feature to receive private messages from us.
-Contact us feature from the home screen where you can reach us by email, website and Facebook , without ever leaving the app,
-Hall of Fame feature which highlights Aros most celebrated achievers, those who have made meaningful contribution to the society and helped put Aro in a good spot light. You'll love to know their story,
-Places- sites is a map based feature which you can use to locate important tourist sites and locations in Arochukwu before you even visit,
-iWitness is IkoroAro security feature update- with the current situation of things in Nigeria, especially around our villages cannot be overstretched. The iWitness feature will let you to quickly report security incident to the authorities and help spread the word so that others will not fall victim.This latest developments was implemented around the 1st quarter of 2022, and to a very large extent development is continuing in proving the rest of the features in the pipeline before final roll out.What is important is that your data with ikoroAro is secure.
